Emmett Skiles, MA, has a passionate interest in empowering himself and others to take a more active role in preserving wholeness for body, mind and spirit. He has a background in business, with a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. After a life-changing experience with cancer in 1995, he began an intentional career transition that led him to receive training in a wide variety of complimentary therapies and personal growth techniques. He received training as a Life Purpose Coach in San Diego, CA in 1999, and received an MA degree in Consciousness Studies with and emphasis in Holistic Health Education from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA in 2006. He formerly served as Executive Director for Cancer Connection, a non-profit organization that provides practical, emotional, and spiritual support for individuals and families affected by cancer. He is currently a Life & Wellness Coach with Weavings Wellness Group in Austin, Texas. And he is also actively involved in collaborative efforts with other health-related organizations in Austin to promote awareness of integrative medicine and the role that consciousness plays in healing.
